Narrative:

I was PNF, in right seat, working radios. ATC assigned a heading of 320 degrees, which I read back. PF mistakenly set the heading bug to 360 degrees, and as I was 'heads down' looking at some charts, I missed the error. It was poor judgement on my part. I should have verified the proper bug setting by the sic before going 'heads down.'

Title: A BE40 FLT CREW IS HEADS DOWN AND MISTAKENLY SELECTS WRONG HEADING.

Narrative: I WAS PNF, IN R SEAT, WORKING RADIOS. ATC ASSIGNED A HEADING OF 320 DEGS, WHICH I READ BACK. PF MISTAKENLY SET THE HEADING BUG TO 360 DEGS, AND AS I WAS 'HEADS DOWN' LOOKING AT SOME CHARTS, I MISSED THE ERROR. IT WAS POOR JUDGEMENT ON MY PART.
