Narrative:

I call in for TA's approximately 20 mi out. I received some information but the transmission was broken. After landing on runway 26, I was told that the runway was closed due to mowing grass. I called for advisories and I asked for them to repeat but I received nothing. I made normal calls on base and final, no one said anything on the radio. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he did notice the grass mower equipment in the grass off the runway after landing, but it did not come close to that activity on the runway on which he had just landed. He learned of the runway closure when deplaning the passenger. He further stated that there was no visible 'X' on the closed runway. When questioned regarding the runway number of the closed runway to which he referred, was actually runway 26.
