Narrative:

I was the PF. The captain was performing PNF duties including all radio communications. We were cleared for a visual approach and told to contact tower. The captain switched frequencys and we were cleared to land and also given a wind check. Both controllers seemed to have a similar sounding voice. After clearing the runway the captain began to retune the radio to ground control but then reset the tower frequency back in because tower is used for most ground and local communication in many island airports. A controller now gave us taxi instructions to the gate. After parking at the gate the captain and I discussed who might have been giving us what clrncs. To clear up any concern on our part the captain called the tower to determine if there was any problem with the sequencing of our arrival. The tower supervisor checked with approach and local controllers to see if there was any problem. He said there was no problem with our arrival.

Title: WHILE INBOUND TO AN ICAO ARPT, AN A300 CREW FOUND IT UNUSUAL THE APCH CTLR AND THE TWR CTLR TO BE THE SAME PERSON.

Narrative: I WAS THE PF. THE CAPT WAS PERFORMING PNF DUTIES INCLUDING ALL RADIO COMS. WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH AND TOLD TO CONTACT TWR. THE CAPT SWITCHED FREQS AND WE WERE CLRED TO LAND AND ALSO GIVEN A WIND CHK. BOTH CTLRS SEEMED TO HAVE A SIMILAR SOUNDING VOICE. AFTER CLRING THE RWY THE CAPT BEGAN TO RETUNE THE RADIO TO GND CTL BUT THEN RESET THE TWR FREQ BACK IN BECAUSE TWR IS USED FOR MOST GND AND LCL COM IN MANY ISLAND ARPTS. A CTLR NOW GAVE US TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO THE GATE. AFTER PARKING AT THE GATE THE CAPT AND I DISCUSSED WHO MIGHT HAVE BEEN GIVING US WHAT CLRNCS. TO CLR UP ANY CONCERN ON OUR PART THE CAPT CALLED THE TWR TO DETERMINE IF THERE WAS ANY PROB WITH THE SEQUENCING OF OUR ARR. THE TWR SUPVR CHKED WITH APCH AND LCL CTLRS TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY PROB. HE SAID THERE WAS NO PROB WITH OUR ARR.
