Narrative:

Passenger X was erratic and violent. He appeared intoxicated, so I cut off all alcohol at about 1 hour 45 mins out of lax. Mr X seemed to be getting worse not better. We learned from his 10 yr old son that he had taken paxal(?) antidepressant. Also from other passenger he told them he was on sleeping pills and was a drug dealer. Tried to reason with him, but he was too unstable. We let the situation go on for fear of upsetting his son. Mr X however pushed a female passenger sitting behind him. He also threatened to break the '*!#! Neck' of the #10 flight attendant. The captain and I decided at this time to make a landing in iad to have mr X removed.
