Narrative:

Flight from bhm to ZZZ. As first officer lifted nose for rotation, a thud sound was heard. It sounded as if it hit one of the center line lights. A very normal sound on takeoff. After cleanup flight attendant reported a louder noise from the back of the aircraft. Gear was already retracted and all other indications were normal. Departure called us to report a noise was heard and rubber on the ground. Completing the abnormal checklist, continued to dfw to minimize our weight as much as practicable. A flyby at dfw confirmed our right inboard main tire had damage. Crew was briefed, emergency was declared and landed at dfw without incident. Crash fire rescue equipment reported no other possible damage. Passenger were taken off the aircraft and bussed to terminal. Supplemental information from acn 522705: after cleanup #2 flight attendant reported a 'louder than usual bang' at liftoff in back of airplane. Departure called and reported someone on ground heard a noise and saw what appeared to be rubber on the runway. Bhm then closed the runway. Dispatch and ATC were notified. Made a fly by at dfw, they reported right inboard main appeared bald. Deplaned passenger with stairs.
