Narrative:
We were avoiding build-ups and turbulence. I disconnected the autoplt due to turbulence. As soon as I did that, we caught an updraft that caused us to go +300 ft above assigned altitude for a few seconds before I was able to correct it.

Title: LTT BIZJET CREW HAD AN ALTDEV IN ZDV CLASS E AIRSPACE.
Narrative: WE WERE AVOIDING BUILD-UPS AND TURB. I DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT DUE TO TURB. AS SOON AS I DID THAT, WE CAUGHT AN UPDRAFT THAT CAUSED US TO GO +300 FT ABOVE ASSIGNED ALT FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO CORRECT IT.
