Narrative:

My crew scheduling department scheduled me for a standby/reserve period which might have been in conflict with my duty time/rest time. Upon realizing this, they called to release me from my standby/reserve status. No flts were conducted during this time period. This particular situation involved deadheading time from another base. This is a complicated system that needs attention from the FAA and the airlines so that these issues can be simplified with regards to crew scheduling and duty time/rest period requirements.
