Narrative:

In cruise flight at FL330, the 'oil strainer clogging light' illuminated, for left engine. Oil pressure and oil temperature indicated normal. Oil strainer clogging checklist actioned: throttle slowly reduced from 1.84 EPR to 1.60 EPR. Oil strainer clogging light extinguished. Approximately 3 mins later the light reilluminated and the engine failure checklist was actioned, and emergency was declared, and the aircraft was diverted to ict, the nearest suitable airport in point of time. A single engine approach was made to runway 19R, and an uneventful landing was accomplished. Emergency crews inspected the aircraft for damage, none was reported, and the aircraft was taxied to parking.

Title: MLG FLC DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED TO LAND AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE L ENG DUE TO THE OIL STRAINER CLOGGING LIGHT CAME ON A SECOND TIME AFTER REDUCING PWR.

Narrative: IN CRUISE FLT AT FL330, THE 'OIL STRAINER CLOGGING LIGHT' ILLUMINATED, FOR L ENG. OIL PRESSURE AND OIL TEMP INDICATED NORMAL. OIL STRAINER CLOGGING CHKLIST ACTIONED: THROTTLE SLOWLY REDUCED FROM 1.84 EPR TO 1.60 EPR. OIL STRAINER CLOGGING LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. APPROX 3 MINS LATER THE LIGHT REILLUMINATED AND THE ENG FAILURE CHKLIST WAS ACTIONED, AND EMER WAS DECLARED, AND THE ACFT WAS DIVERTED TO ICT, THE NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT IN POINT OF TIME. A SINGLE ENG APCH WAS MADE TO RWY 19R, AND AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG WAS ACCOMPLISHED. EMER CREWS INSPECTED THE ACFT FOR DAMAGE, NONE WAS RPTED, AND THE ACFT WAS TAXIED TO PARKING.
