Narrative:

Passenger was noticed by a passenger to have been drinking from his own bottle of alcohol. She told flight attendant #2 who, in turn, looked for the bottle, but did not see one. The passenger did not seem to be disturbing anyone so she did not want to accuse him. During turbulence he came to the aft lavatory to go to the bathroom. He had a can of coke and a blanket in his hand. I informed him the seat belt sign was on and he should be in his seat buckled up. He told me he really had to go. I told him to leave the can and blanket outside, but he quickly went into the lavatory. As he was closing the door I could see a bottle in the blanket. I waited for him to come out at which time I told him I did not want to upset him but I would have to take his bottle and I would give it to him upon deplaning. He said okay and returned to his seat. He did not do anything else as we kept an eye on him. Then a passenger came back to the galley and said that he lurched at her daughter. We asked if he hurt her and she said no, but she thought we should do something. I went to his seat and he had his eyes closed and the couple next to him did not seem to be bothered by him. I have seen, in the past, if you upset someone intoxicated it can cause more problems so we decided not to say anything and just watch him. There were no further problems until we were told to prepare for landing. I think because of the state he was in, he thought we had already landed. He got up out of his seat and took his bag down out of the overhead bin and said he was getting off. It took a few moments to convince him to situation down at which time he did. Upon landing, everything was fine. He stayed in his seat for taxi. As passenger were deplaning (about 1/3 of the cabin had left), passenger started to say we needed security because he was causing problems. The captain called security and we found, after most passenger had deplaned, that 3 male passenger had surrounded him in his seat. He was cursing and carrying on, mad that the passenger wouldn't let him off. One of our crew chiefs (cabin cleaning personnel) took over and the passenger deplaned. The captain asked the men to leave their names but they all said they didn't want to and they left. When security came they asked if this man interfered with the crew and we said no. They told us they would handle it from there.

Title: A B757 FLT ATTENDANT RPTED THAT A PAX WAS DRINKING OUT OF A CONCEALED BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL.

Narrative: PAX WAS NOTICED BY A PAX TO HAVE BEEN DRINKING FROM HIS OWN BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL. SHE TOLD FLT ATTENDANT #2 WHO, IN TURN, LOOKED FOR THE BOTTLE, BUT DID NOT SEE ONE. THE PAX DID NOT SEEM TO BE DISTURBING ANYONE SO SHE DID NOT WANT TO ACCUSE HIM. DURING TURB HE CAME TO THE AFT LAVATORY TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. THEN A PAX CAME BACK TO THE GALLEY AND SAID THAT HE LURCHED AT HER DAUGHTER. WE ASKED IF HE HURT HER AND SHE SAID NO, BUT SHE THOUGHT WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING. I WENT TO HIS SEAT AND HE HAD HIS EYES CLOSED AND THE COUPLE NEXT TO HIM DID NOT SEEM TO BE BOTHERED BY HIM. I HAVE SEEN, IN THE PAST, IF YOU UPSET SOMEONE INTOXICATED IT CAN CAUSE MORE PROBS SO WE DECIDED NOT TO SAY ANYTHING AND JUST WATCH HIM. THERE WERE NO FURTHER PROBS UNTIL WE WERE TOLD TO PREPARE FOR LNDG. I THINK BECAUSE OF THE STATE HE WAS IN, HE THOUGHT WE HAD ALREADY LANDED. HE GOT UP OUT OF HIS SEAT AND TOOK HIS BAG DOWN OUT OF THE OVERHEAD BIN AND SAID HE WAS GETTING OFF. IT TOOK A FEW MOMENTS TO CONVINCE HIM TO SIT DOWN AT WHICH TIME HE DID. UPON LNDG, EVERYTHING WAS FINE. HE STAYED IN HIS SEAT FOR TAXI. AS PAX WERE DEPLANING (ABOUT 1/3 OF THE CABIN HAD LEFT), PAX STARTED TO SAY WE NEEDED SECURITY BECAUSE HE WAS CAUSING PROBS. THE CAPT CALLED SECURITY AND WE FOUND, AFTER MOST PAX HAD DEPLANED, THAT 3 MALE PAX HAD SURROUNDED HIM IN HIS SEAT. HE WAS CURSING AND CARRYING ON, MAD THAT THE PAX WOULDN'T LET HIM OFF. ONE OF OUR CREW CHIEFS (CABIN CLEANING PERSONNEL) TOOK OVER AND THE PAX DEPLANED. THE CAPT ASKED THE MEN TO LEAVE THEIR NAMES BUT THEY ALL SAID THEY DIDN'T WANT TO AND THEY LEFT. WHEN SECURITY CAME THEY ASKED IF THIS MAN INTERFERED WITH THE CREW AND WE SAID NO. THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD HANDLE IT FROM THERE.
