Narrative:

PF (captain) thought we were landing at west 30TH street heliport (jra) when just north 2 mi of george washington bridge in hudson river exclusion. Was informed by copilot that the correct destination was east 34TH heliport (6n5). Southern, eastern nyc was in a heavy thunderstorm, lga was IFR. It was necessary to land and get on the ground as soon as possible. We tried to contact lga tower but were unable. We flew down the east river through part of the class B airspace. Once on the ground at east 34TH heliport (6n5), we contacted them and informed lga tower of what we had just done. The quick change of destination and WX did not allow us time to check the map and the area of lga class B control. Copilot questioned captain and was informed that he thought they were ok. Once they landed, consulted the map and realized the mistake they had made. When we called lga tower and informed them of our mistake, also asked if there would be a problem. They said no. I was left with the impression they didn't even know we were in their airspace. We did not violate or interfere with any approachs on runway 13 of lga or departures on runway 31.

Title: AN S76 HELI CREW IS CONCERNED ABOUT TFC SEPARATION ISSUES DURING THEIR RE-ROUTE TO ANOTHER HELIPAD-PORT WITH TSTM ACTIVITY NEAR LGA, NY.

Narrative: PF (CAPT) THOUGHT WE WERE LNDG AT WEST 30TH STREET HELIPORT (JRA) WHEN JUST N 2 MI OF GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE IN HUDSON RIVER EXCLUSION. WAS INFORMED BY COPLT THAT THE CORRECT DEST WAS EAST 34TH HELIPORT (6N5). SOUTHERN, EASTERN NYC WAS IN A HVY TSTM, LGA WAS IFR. IT WAS NECESSARY TO LAND AND GET ON THE GND ASAP. WE TRIED TO CONTACT LGA TWR BUT WERE UNABLE. WE FLEW DOWN THE EAST RIVER THROUGH PART OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE. ONCE ON THE GND AT EAST 34TH HELIPORT (6N5), WE CONTACTED THEM AND INFORMED LGA TWR OF WHAT WE HAD JUST DONE. THE QUICK CHANGE OF DEST AND WX DID NOT ALLOW US TIME TO CHK THE MAP AND THE AREA OF LGA CLASS B CTL. COPLT QUESTIONED CAPT AND WAS INFORMED THAT HE THOUGHT THEY WERE OK. ONCE THEY LANDED, CONSULTED THE MAP AND REALIZED THE MISTAKE THEY HAD MADE. WHEN WE CALLED LGA TWR AND INFORMED THEM OF OUR MISTAKE, ALSO ASKED IF THERE WOULD BE A PROB. THEY SAID NO. I WAS LEFT WITH THE IMPRESSION THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WE WERE IN THEIR AIRSPACE. WE DID NOT VIOLATE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY APCHS ON RWY 13 OF LGA OR DEPS ON RWY 31.
