Return on a VFR cross country flight from uki, reported to tower northwest of airport to establish 2-WAY communication with napa tower. Tower replied 'make straight-in runway 18L, report 2 mi final.' student reported 2 mi final for runway 18R. Tower cleared us to land at runway 18R. On 1 mi final, a single engine beech bonanza descended in front of us as he was cleared for short approach runway 18R. I yelled 'my controls' and executed a go around to avoid collision. Tower replied, 'aircraft X, are you lined up for runway 18L?'
