Narrative:
Aircraft X was on a straight-in for runway 21. Other aircraft (C172) was on a right base runway 21. We were following another aircraft on short final. The C172 was not given a sequence and did not know we were on final until I told the tower that we were on a '2 mi final, traffic our 6 O'clock position in sight.' C172 slowed down, we sped up.
