Narrative:

While cruising at FL370, after passing casper, wy, I attempted to contact dispatch due to winds from 30-40 KTS higher than forecast. I first attempted on the nearest remote which was riw and it was about 60 NM away. After that, I attempted to contact dispatch via boi and slc. However, these cities were over 200 mi away. Therefore, while flying from mli to sea, I was unable to talk with dispatch while flying over wyoming and northern idaho and was not sure that they could contact me. The frequencys that I used were noted on the release and verified from the high altitude chart.
