Narrative:
Crew fatigue. Another lhr-lax trip with no crew rest bunks. I had the third break and was exhausted due to poor sleep in london. As I tried to sleep, a baby in first class began screaming and continued for 25 mins. Then the passenger across from me began a loud conversation with his seat mate. The business galley was slamming carts along with flight attendant galley banter and the result was no sleep for 3.4 hours. I had earplugs and the noise canceling headset on. After my break, I told the captain I was wiped out and did not feel up to landing the airplane. I gave the landing to the relief pilot and performed his duties. I went to sleep in the operations room for 2 hours prior to trying to drive home. I have noticed an appreciable lack of rest since the bunks have been removed. I hope a solution will be forthcoming.
