Narrative:

Turning right onto B taxiway from MD11 taxiway the right main gear left taxiway and contacted dirt and rolled back onto taxiway. Aircraft sustained no damage. This is the 3RD or 4TH occurrence of this nature at this intersection. The intersection is not marked nor does it have a fillet. There should be a note on the airport diagram, explaining that widebody aircraft should not attempt to use this intersection. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the area in which he was taxiing into the cargo ramp area from the runway lacks taxiway markings to identify the taxiway. However, other parts of the airport are very well marked as to widebody restrictions at certain txwys. He reiterated that it would eliminate the problem he was involved in if the turn radius was filled with a fillet. With regard to marking the airport chart, he believes that it would not accomplish much since there are many notes now regarding restrictions that no one can remember when needed and that the controllers continually route aircraft in the opposite direction in which the chart arrows indicate.

Title: CAPTAIN OF A AIR CARRIER WIDEBODY ACFT COMPLAINT ABOUT A TXWY INTERSECTION AT LFPG ARPT NOT BEING SUFFICIENTLY WIDE TO ACCOMMODATE A TURN WITHOUT FALLING OFF THE TXWY.

Narrative: TURNING RIGHT ONTO B TXWY FROM MD11 TXWY THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR LEFT TXWY AND CONTACTED DIRT AND ROLLED BACK ONTO TXWY. ACFT SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE. THIS IS THE 3RD OR 4TH OCCURRENCE OF THIS NATURE AT THIS INTERSECTION. THE INTERSECTION IS NOT MARKED NOR DOES IT HAVE A FILLET. THERE SHOULD BE A NOTE ON THE ARPT DIAGRAM, EXPLAINING THAT WIDEBODY ACFT SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS INTERSECTION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THE AREA IN WHICH HE WAS TAXIING INTO THE CARGO RAMP AREA FROM THE RWY LACKS TXWY MARKINGS TO IDENTIFY THE TXWY. HOWEVER, OTHER PARTS OF THE ARPT ARE VERY WELL MARKED AS TO WIDEBODY RESTRICTIONS AT CERTAIN TXWYS. HE REITERATED THAT IT WOULD ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM HE WAS INVOLVED IN IF THE TURN RADIUS WAS FILLED WITH A FILLET. WITH REGARD TO MARKING THE ARPT CHART, HE BELIEVES THAT IT WOULD NOT ACCOMPLISH MUCH SINCE THERE ARE MANY NOTES NOW REGARDING RESTRICTIONS THAT NO ONE CAN REMEMBER WHEN NEEDED AND THAT THE CONTROLLERS CONTINUALLY ROUTE ACFT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION IN WHICH THE CHART ARROWS INDICATE.
