Narrative:

Electrical smell noted in cockpit. 'Lav smoke' appeared on EICAS. F/a's checked all lavs. Alarm activated in crew rest modual. On inspection, no smoke or fire noted. Alarm went out and came on several minutes later. Turned off 'recirc flows' and entertainment system. Fume smell of electrical stronger. Contacted maintenance and disp. Declared emergency. Emergency descent into xyz landing normal. Normal taxi to gate. Maintenance found 2 C/B's failed/popped and #1 FMC damaged with traces of smoke on case.

Title: AN MD-11 IN CRUISE AT FL 350 DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR IN THE COCKPIT CAUSED BY A FAILED FLIGHT MANAGEMENT COMPUTER.
