Narrative:

On departure at msp, vectors heading 280 degrees at 7000 ft. ATC gave us climb to 17000 ft, turn left to 150 degrees. Out of 8500 ft, we got an RA on TCASII (descend). At 2 O'clock position we saw a B747 about 2 mi away and 1000 ft above. We told ATC we had an RA, confirmed we had a visual on the B747. We followed the TCASII instruction and were told by ATC to descend and maintain 7000 ft. When no longer a conflict, we were again told by ATC to climb to 17000 ft.
