Narrative:

On mar/thur/01, my flight departed mco for orl. Shortly after takeoff, a heading of 310 degrees was assigned and a TA was given to the crew. The first officer was flying and allowed the heading to move to 335 degrees before correction was applied, possibly causing conflict with other traffic. ATC questioned the crew on the aircraft's present heading and assigned a new heading of 290 degrees. The TCASII was functioning properly, but no RA was given. No other questions or instructions were provided by pbi departure.
