Narrative:

I was PNF. Initial contact with approach control, we were told to expect runway 25R. When switched over to tower for the visual approach, I thought we were cleared for a visual approach to runway 25R. Approach could have cleared us to runway 25L and I may have missed it, because on our initial contact to tower, I advised them we were on a visual approach for runway 25R. Tower queried when I announced runway 25R and told us to continue while they checked to see if runway 25R would work out. They came back and told us they needed us on runway 25L. We landed without incident. I should listen up more carefully at all times.
