Narrative:

We inadvertently filed and flew route G446 between jains intersection and broom intersection where HF radio is required. I checked charts and planned the flight well in advance and nowhere on any charts was there an indication that HF radio was required on this route. On the morning of the flight, I called mia FSS and filed an ICAO flight plan. I asked the briefer if any special requirements were needed, especially HF radio, and was told there was not. I feel that to help keep this situation from recurring that charts need to have the information about special requirements listed clearly on all oceanic rtes. Also, FSS briefing personnel need to be knowledgeable on these special requirements. Safety was not compromised because we were able to relay our position reports through another aircraft.
