Narrative:

After gate departure, gate control sent us out spot xx. When we went over to ground control, they advised us this was the wrong exit for our direction of flight and cleared us to taxi south on taxiway left and west on taxiway aa to get to runway 25. As this was first trip into den, I was unaware that taxiway aa went under a bridge until I turned onto taxiway aa. I began questioning if we had tail clearance. Ramp control told us if we moved over to the center we would have 44 ft. Our manual says our tail is 41 ft 3 inches. I did this. After we were airborne, it finally occurred to me to check company pages in flight manual where it said taxiing under the bridge was prohibited. I have no excuse for not better reviewing the company pages in flight manual. I had mostly concerned myself with arrival and departure procedures along with the airport layout and had overlooked the general section. In the future, I will be more diligent in my study of unfamiliar airports. In no way do I wish to place blame anywhere but with myself, but it would be helpful if den ground and ramp were made aware of our prohibition of this taxiway as other airlines are using it with similar equipment.

Title: B737 FLC ARE ALERTED BY DEN GND CTL OF WRONG DIRECTION TAXIING THAT PLACES THEM IN CONFLICT WITH ARPT TXWY BRIDGE.

Narrative: AFTER GATE DEP, GATE CTL SENT US OUT SPOT XX. WHEN WE WENT OVER TO GND CTL, THEY ADVISED US THIS WAS THE WRONG EXIT FOR OUR DIRECTION OF FLT AND CLRED US TO TAXI S ON TXWY L AND W ON TXWY AA TO GET TO RWY 25. AS THIS WAS FIRST TRIP INTO DEN, I WAS UNAWARE THAT TXWY AA WENT UNDER A BRIDGE UNTIL I TURNED ONTO TXWY AA. I BEGAN QUESTIONING IF WE HAD TAIL CLRNC. RAMP CTL TOLD US IF WE MOVED OVER TO THE CTR WE WOULD HAVE 44 FT. OUR MANUAL SAYS OUR TAIL IS 41 FT 3 INCHES. I DID THIS. AFTER WE WERE AIRBORNE, IT FINALLY OCCURRED TO ME TO CHK COMPANY PAGES IN FLT MANUAL WHERE IT SAID TAXIING UNDER THE BRIDGE WAS PROHIBITED. I HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR NOT BETTER REVIEWING THE COMPANY PAGES IN FLT MANUAL. I HAD MOSTLY CONCERNED MYSELF WITH ARR AND DEP PROCS ALONG WITH THE ARPT LAYOUT AND HAD OVERLOOKED THE GENERAL SECTION. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL BE MORE DILIGENT IN MY STUDY OF UNFAMILIAR ARPTS. IN NO WAY DO I WISH TO PLACE BLAME ANYWHERE BUT WITH MYSELF, BUT IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF DEN GND AND RAMP WERE MADE AWARE OF OUR PROHIBITION OF THIS TXWY AS OTHER AIRLINES ARE USING IT WITH SIMILAR EQUIP.
