Narrative:

Dtw tower cleared us for takeoff on runway 21C with an immediate turn to a heading of 235 degrees. The captain read back the clearance and 235 degrees, but the first officer misunderstood and set 335 degrees. The heading was not doublechked or verified. The first officer took off and turned to 335 degrees. Departure control queried the crew and corrected the confusion while we were leveling at 5000 ft. There were no traffic conflicts or TCASII alerts or advisories.
