Narrative:

'Am' originator in burbank. First officer reported to me upon completion of preflight that brake accumulator precharge (nitrogen) was 500 psi vice 1000 psi. I checked visually in the wheel well and confirmed 500 psi. Turned on 'B' pump, checked gauges in cockpit and wheel well. Brake pressure up to 3000 psi. I called duty control. They said they 'preferred' to get the nitrogen svced in las (our destination). At gate in las, maintenance svced nitrogen precharge. I wrote discrepancy in logbook in las, cleared by maintenance. I then realized that, with no relief in MEL, should have svced before departing in burbank.
