Narrative:

Picked up aircraft xyz for flight abc, ZZZ-XXX. Release had 4 mels (CAT III not authority/authorized, GPWS inoperative, landing light extended, yaw damper inoperative I believe). Dispatch was consulted about XXX. WX ride reports/fuel for flight as well as flight director. WX was good VFR for short flight. On departure captain's flight director bars biased out of view. On climb out altitude while later first officer's flight director did the same. After a few attempts both were put on in working order. Captain radio altimeter inoperative flag then came on with altimeter needle continuing to cycle. QRH was reviewed again and we were approaching XXX. Turning onto final when intercepting localizer both flight directors biased out of view again. Landing was uneventful. On taxi in a check of flight director system was made (both flight director switches pushed heading selected). Flight directors dropped then immediately biased out of view and wouldn't take heading select. Upon arrival at gate dispatch was contacted for a 3-WAY phone patch to maintenance. During 3-WAY phone patch after explaining what had been experienced and tried. Comment from wxx in maintenance was he had wanted to ground aircraft day before and had been overridden by someone. Aircraft had just come out of heavy maintenance and had a wiring problem. Yaw damper module had been changed that didn't help that problem. All problems were electrical and not interrelated. He said something wrong on wiring. We were advised aircraft bcd would be made available for our flight abc XXX-ZZZ. When asked about xyz I was told it would be maintenance ferried. I then confirmed with dispatch I would write-up maintenance logbook items as had just been described to both maintenance and himself. Upon arrival in ZZZ pilot's group representative was contacted to make sure crew who was going to ferry xyz were informed of situation and aircraft history about phone calls with dispatch, and maintenance.
