Narrative:

We had a group of passenger and 1 of them started behaving strangely. He said he wanted to die and he requested that another flight attendant bring him poison. His friends tried to keep him quiet, but during breakfast, he started to hit his face with an open magazine, and then, on arrival, he moved towards the exit door and acted crazy. I just think if a passenger is mentally ill, we should not transport him because it was stressful. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the man and his friends were aviation people being trained in the united states. Their boss had told the men to bring this mentally ill guy back with them, or not come back at all. He evidently started having mental problems in training and disappeared for a couple of days, until found by the police. The man completely terrorized the passenger sitting around him. He was trying to escape out the doors. The cabin attendants had to keep a constant watch on him. When the flight was approaching the amazon, the purser and the reporter conferred with the captain about whether to divert before they were over the amazon. The man's friends said that they would take care of him, that he was no threat and not to divert. When they landed in sao PAUL0, the man tried to get off incognito, because he knew the police were waiting for him, and then he started getting violent. His boss met the flight and tried to get the police to release him for medical treatment. The reporter strongly believes that this man's friends should never have put him on a commercial flight, but perhaps put him on a private plane.

Title: MENTALLY ILL MAN TRAVELING WITH FRIENDS GOT OUT OF CTL, TERRORIZED OTHERS. POLICE REMOVED HIM ON ARR.

Narrative: WE HAD A GROUP OF PAX AND 1 OF THEM STARTED BEHAVING STRANGELY. HE SAID HE WANTED TO DIE AND HE REQUESTED THAT ANOTHER FLT ATTENDANT BRING HIM POISON. HIS FRIENDS TRIED TO KEEP HIM QUIET, BUT DURING BREAKFAST, HE STARTED TO HIT HIS FACE WITH AN OPEN MAGAZINE, AND THEN, ON ARR, HE MOVED TOWARDS THE EXIT DOOR AND ACTED CRAZY. I JUST THINK IF A PAX IS MENTALLY ILL, WE SHOULD NOT TRANSPORT HIM BECAUSE IT WAS STRESSFUL. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE MAN AND HIS FRIENDS WERE AVIATION PEOPLE BEING TRAINED IN THE UNITED STATES. THEIR BOSS HAD TOLD THE MEN TO BRING THIS MENTALLY ILL GUY BACK WITH THEM, OR NOT COME BACK AT ALL. HE EVIDENTLY STARTED HAVING MENTAL PROBS IN TRAINING AND DISAPPEARED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, UNTIL FOUND BY THE POLICE. THE MAN COMPLETELY TERRORIZED THE PAX SITTING AROUND HIM. HE WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE OUT THE DOORS. THE CABIN ATTENDANTS HAD TO KEEP A CONSTANT WATCH ON HIM. WHEN THE FLT WAS APCHING THE AMAZON, THE PURSER AND THE RPTR CONFERRED WITH THE CAPT ABOUT WHETHER TO DIVERT BEFORE THEY WERE OVER THE AMAZON. HIS BOSS MET THE FLT AND TRIED TO GET THE POLICE TO RELEASE HIM FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE RPTR STRONGLY BELIEVES THAT THIS MAN'S FRIENDS SHOULD NEVER HAVE PUT HIM ON A COMMERCIAL FLT, BUT PERHAPS PUT HIM ON A PVT PLANE.
