On 'a' check, mechanic found #4 outboard spoiler attach casting support lug broken. Was for stiffener rod for lower flap well lower fix panel. No other damage. Flew 1 leg revenue to XXX for repair. Should have made a ferry flight. Bad decision.

Narrative: ON 'A' CHK, MECH FOUND #4 OUTBOARD SPOILER ATTACH CASTING SUPPORT LUG BROKEN. WAS FOR STIFFENER ROD FOR LOWER FLAP WELL LOWER FIX PANEL. NO OTHER DAMAGE. FLEW 1 LEG REVENUE TO XXX FOR REPAIR. SHOULD HAVE MADE A FERRY FLT. BAD DECISION.
