Narrative:

At XA15 on oct/mon/00, I was cleared for takeoff on runway 6 at ilm. I was in a baron. At the same time a cessna was cleared for a touch and go on runway 35. As I reached takeoff speed I noticed the cessna coming in low, about 50 ft off runway 35. Our timing at the intersection would have been perfect for a crash. At the point I reached takeoff speed and saw the other plane I knew if I lifted off I would be at 50 ft over the intersection and hit the other plane. I also knew that if I stayed on the ground and he was landing we would hit. He had leveled off and for 1 or 2 seconds I didn't know if he was going around or landing. When his nose rose up I finally knew he was going around. I forced it to stay on the ground and aborted the takeoff.

Title: PLT OF A BEECH BARON ABORTED TKOF AFTER OBSERVING A CESSNA APCHING TO LAND ON A CROSS RWY AT AN ALT OF 50 FT AGL.

Narrative: AT XA15 ON OCT/MON/00, I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 6 AT ILM. I WAS IN A BARON. AT THE SAME TIME A CESSNA WAS CLRED FOR A TOUCH AND GO ON RWY 35. AS I REACHED TKOF SPD I NOTICED THE CESSNA COMING IN LOW, ABOUT 50 FT OFF RWY 35. OUR TIMING AT THE INTXN WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR A CRASH. AT THE POINT I REACHED TKOF SPD AND SAW THE OTHER PLANE I KNEW IF I LIFTED OFF I WOULD BE AT 50 FT OVER THE INTXN AND HIT THE OTHER PLANE. I ALSO KNEW THAT IF I STAYED ON THE GND AND HE WAS LNDG WE WOULD HIT. HE HAD LEVELED OFF AND FOR 1 OR 2 SECONDS I DIDN'T KNOW IF HE WAS GOING AROUND OR LNDG. WHEN HIS NOSE ROSE UP I FINALLY KNEW HE WAS GOING AROUND. I FORCED IT TO STAY ON THE GND AND ABORTED THE TKOF.
