Narrative:

Our flight was approximately 20 mins from landing in mia. When the #1 flight attendant called me on the interphone, I was shutting down my galley (aft) in preparation for landing. The #1 flight attendant asked me to come to the front of the aircraft. I went to the front and when I reached about row 4 in first class, I smelled cigarette smoke. As I was about to walk past the forward lavatory, the door opened and the passenger came out. The lavatory smelled of smoke. The #1 flight attendant asked if she had been smoking. She said no. I entered the bathroom and opened the garbage compartment and found the cigarette butt. We notified the cockpit and they contacted the ground to let them know we would need auths to meet the flight. Once we landed, we had the passenger stay seated and the auths talked to her and after she got off the aircraft.
