Narrative:

Cleared for ILS approach to intercept localizer on heading. Had run preliminary landing checklist which included approach briefing. Confirmed all required approach items including frequency 111.7. Fortunately, with horizontal direction situation indicator display, saw that we were passing through centerline of runway 28R (111.7) with localizer still indicating left. Saw that the frequency was on 111.3 instead of 111.7. The display was dirty and the numbers not clear on digital readout. We both saw 111.7 or thought so on checklist. With all electronics available we still need to tune and identify. WX was good and we stayed within limits but could have been a problem.
