On ramp, followed marshaller's hand signals, in accordance with procedures, to a full stop. Marshaller then gave positive signal to move forward again for a short distance, and then gave the emergency stop signal. Ground person was injured by the nose gear.

Title: A DC10 CAPT RPTED THAT THE EMER STOP SIGNAL WAS GIVEN BY THE MARSHALLER WHO WAS DIRECTING THE CAPT IN TO THE GATE. A GND PERSON WAS INJURED AT THE NOSEWHEEL.

Narrative: ON RAMP, FOLLOWED MARSHALLER'S HAND SIGNALS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCS, TO A FULL STOP. MARSHALLER THEN GAVE POSITIVE SIGNAL TO MOVE FORWARD AGAIN FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, AND THEN GAVE THE EMER STOP SIGNAL. GND PERSON WAS INJURED BY THE NOSE GEAR.
