Narrative:

At leveloff on flight from mco-bna, noticed hydraulic quantity decreasing. Due to line of thunderstorms south and east of us, ruled out landing at mco or jax. Suspecting potential loss of hydraulic system 'a,' decided not to land at tlh. After conferring with dispatch and maintenance, I elected to land at atl. We had hydraulic system 'a' fail on the way in to atl and complied with the appropriate procedures culminating in a successful full stop landing on atl runway 27R. Requested and received tug tow from runway to gate.
