Narrative:

Flying from jan to dfw. Clearance in jan said, 'cleared as filed.' filed was dumpy 2. Controller said, 'turn 275 degrees, join arrival northeast of glen rose.' we were cleared on dumpy so we joined the 298 degree radial direct to cowboy. Controller came back and said, 'no, join the glen rose 5 arrival,' which is 039 degrees off glen rose. She was very upset. Gave us a 90 degree left turn to join new arrival. She assumed we were on the glen rose 5, not the dumpy 2. I've learned to start asking to doublechk that both pilots and controllers are on the same page.
