Narrative:

After personally talking to company vp for flight operations and for maintenance was surprised (hardly) to find aircraft with 5 mco's (maintenance carry-overs)/cdl (confign deviation list). (They said after 4, they grounded aircraft.) in fact, wrong handset 2L vice 3L was written up, which made aircraft illegal for dispatch if 2L handset was in fact broken. Also, after receiving letter from vp flight operations telling us how we need to save fuel, how can they justify not fixing the 2 cdl items that together cause an extra 2.8% fuel burn?
