Narrative:

Descending from FL390 to FL250, london control xferred flight to maastricht control (en route to eddf -- frankfurt, germany). Maastricht cleared flight direct to ntm VOR (nattenheim). Air carrier flight abcd continued to ntm at FL250. Approaching ntm, maastricht control instructed us to switch radio frequency to maastricht on 134.45. We said we were already on 134.45. Maastricht then instructed flight to switch to 132.205. Upon check in with maastricht control on 132.205, the controller was 'bent out of shape' wanting to know where we had been as he had been attempting to contact us since we coasted in from the belgian coast. We said to the effect we switched to 132.205 when the previous maastricht controller so instructed us to switch. The 'new' maastricht controller would 'not' accept this explanation. All 3 pilots were in the cockpit during this entire evolution. All 3 pilots agreed with the above stated description of events. Since the maastricht controller was extremely 'pushy' and inflexible, after we stated we switched radio frequency when directed, we chose not to pursue the issue any further.

Title: B777 CREW HAD DELAYED FREQ XFER TO EHBK.

Narrative: DSNDING FROM FL390 TO FL250, LONDON CTL XFERRED FLT TO MAASTRICHT CTL (ENRTE TO EDDF -- FRANKFURT, GERMANY). MAASTRICHT CLRED FLT DIRECT TO NTM VOR (NATTENHEIM). ACR FLT ABCD CONTINUED TO NTM AT FL250. APCHING NTM, MAASTRICHT CTL INSTRUCTED US TO SWITCH RADIO FREQ TO MAASTRICHT ON 134.45. WE SAID WE WERE ALREADY ON 134.45. MAASTRICHT THEN INSTRUCTED FLT TO SWITCH TO 132.205. UPON CHK IN WITH MAASTRICHT CTL ON 132.205, THE CTLR WAS 'BENT OUT OF SHAPE' WANTING TO KNOW WHERE WE HAD BEEN AS HE HAD BEEN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT US SINCE WE COASTED IN FROM THE BELGIAN COAST. WE SAID TO THE EFFECT WE SWITCHED TO 132.205 WHEN THE PREVIOUS MAASTRICHT CTLR SO INSTRUCTED US TO SWITCH. THE 'NEW' MAASTRICHT CTLR WOULD 'NOT' ACCEPT THIS EXPLANATION. ALL 3 PLTS WERE IN THE COCKPIT DURING THIS ENTIRE EVOLUTION. ALL 3 PLTS AGREED WITH THE ABOVE STATED DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS. SINCE THE MAASTRICHT CTLR WAS EXTREMELY 'PUSHY' AND INFLEXIBLE, AFTER WE STATED WE SWITCHED RADIO FREQ WHEN DIRECTED, WE CHOSE NOT TO PURSUE THE ISSUE ANY FURTHER.
