Narrative:

ATIS was reporting departures at phx as runways 8L/right. When the captain boarded aircraft, FMS showed departure runway 8R. Upon requesting taxi clearance, ground control advised that the airport had just turned around and to expect departure on runway 26R, taxi on taxiway F and hold short of runway 26L at taxiway F6. During taxi, PNF changed departure runway in FMS to runway 26R and performed taxi checklist. Aircraft taxied to taxiway F6 and held short of runway 26L. Ground control then issued a clearance to expedite crossing of runway 26L and taxi to runway 26R via taxiway south and taxiway B. The japanese type rated captain did not understand the 'expedite' clearance, and since he was still thinking about departing on runway 8R, but in the opposite direction runway 26L, began a left turn to take the 'active' runway 26L. Both I and ground control advised a right turn to cross the runway at taxiway F6. The captain became very confused on what was happening. I advised that 'I have the aircraft,' but the captain would not relinquish control of the aircraft and then applied brakes to a full stop on runway 26L. A B737 had to make a go around. Captain released brakes finally and taxied clear of runway 26L. Very dangerous situation.

Title: G5 CREW HAD RWY INCURSION AT PHX.

Narrative: ATIS WAS RPTING DEPS AT PHX AS RWYS 8L/R. WHEN THE CAPT BOARDED ACFT, FMS SHOWED DEP RWY 8R. UPON REQUESTING TAXI CLRNC, GND CTL ADVISED THAT THE ARPT HAD JUST TURNED AROUND AND TO EXPECT DEP ON RWY 26R, TAXI ON TXWY F AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 26L AT TXWY F6. DURING TAXI, PNF CHANGED DEP RWY IN FMS TO RWY 26R AND PERFORMED TAXI CHKLIST. ACFT TAXIED TO TXWY F6 AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 26L. GND CTL THEN ISSUED A CLRNC TO EXPEDITE XING OF RWY 26L AND TAXI TO RWY 26R VIA TXWY S AND TXWY B. THE JAPANESE TYPE RATED CAPT DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE 'EXPEDITE' CLRNC, AND SINCE HE WAS STILL THINKING ABOUT DEPARTING ON RWY 8R, BUT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION RWY 26L, BEGAN A L TURN TO TAKE THE 'ACTIVE' RWY 26L. BOTH I AND GND CTL ADVISED A R TURN TO CROSS THE RWY AT TXWY F6. THE CAPT BECAME VERY CONFUSED ON WHAT WAS HAPPENING. I ADVISED THAT 'I HAVE THE ACFT,' BUT THE CAPT WOULD NOT RELINQUISH CTL OF THE ACFT AND THEN APPLIED BRAKES TO A FULL STOP ON RWY 26L. A B737 HAD TO MAKE A GAR. CAPT RELEASED BRAKES FINALLY AND TAXIED CLR OF RWY 26L. VERY DANGEROUS SIT.
