Narrative:

During a routine service check inspection, found the nose radome of aircraft xyz to have a hole in the right side. No spare parts were available so my lead mechanic and supervisor instructed me to remove the unsvcable radome while another radome was cannibalized from another. After installing the cannibalized radome with a svcable yellow tag, we found out that the old open rods would not operate properly, but the radome faired with the fuselage and worked in accordance with the maintenance manual. My supervisor informed me that after I signed the radome installation off that it would be tracked and repaired at a later date. Due to the tight flight schedule and supervisor pressure, I signed off the installation knowing that it was being tracked for final repair. When I returned to work the next evening, I found out that there was no carry-over and they were not tracking any continued maintenance items on the installed radome.
