Narrative:
The primary frequencys at the lake city sector (R78) often fail at the most inopportune times, leaving controllers with no means of communicating with aircraft in a timely manner. The latest incident was jun/xa/00 at approximately XA30. The sector was impacted with WX further complicating matters and endangering aircraft. These frequencys (132.82 and 288.1) have failed 4 or 5 times in the past 3 weeks. These frequencys need to be repaired or some new ones commissioned that will work 24 hours a day.
