Narrative:

After refueling, we got our taxi clearance 'to runway 4,' I was parked on the west ramp and proceeded south parallel to runway 18/36. I saw 1 sign for runway 4/22 on taxiway a and stopped while trying to locate the government chart with the airport diagram. We could not find that chart, and tower instructed us to proceed south on the ramp. At taxiway F I could see another sign for runway 4 and could see the displaced threshold markings. We turned onto taxiway F not realizing the taxiway that angled southwest from the ramp served runway 36 as well as runway 4's displaced threshold area. We were told to stop on taxiway F and that the tower would work our departure from that intersection. 2 things led to this: us misplacing the airport diagram, and me not seeing signs pointing towards runway 4. I did see signs showing runway 18/36, however, I should have asked ground before taxiing onto taxiway F, or a progressive taxi at the unfamiliar airport.

Title: PA28 PLT HAD RWY INCURSION AT EVV.

Narrative: AFTER REFUELING, WE GOT OUR TAXI CLRNC 'TO RWY 4,' I WAS PARKED ON THE W RAMP AND PROCEEDED S PARALLEL TO RWY 18/36. I SAW 1 SIGN FOR RWY 4/22 ON TXWY A AND STOPPED WHILE TRYING TO LOCATE THE GOV CHART WITH THE ARPT DIAGRAM. WE COULD NOT FIND THAT CHART, AND TWR INSTRUCTED US TO PROCEED S ON THE RAMP. AT TXWY F I COULD SEE ANOTHER SIGN FOR RWY 4 AND COULD SEE THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD MARKINGS. WE TURNED ONTO TXWY F NOT REALIZING THE TXWY THAT ANGLED SW FROM THE RAMP SERVED RWY 36 AS WELL AS RWY 4'S DISPLACED THRESHOLD AREA. WE WERE TOLD TO STOP ON TXWY F AND THAT THE TWR WOULD WORK OUR DEP FROM THAT INTXN. 2 THINGS LED TO THIS: US MISPLACING THE ARPT DIAGRAM, AND ME NOT SEEING SIGNS POINTING TOWARDS RWY 4. I DID SEE SIGNS SHOWING RWY 18/36, HOWEVER, I SHOULD HAVE ASKED GND BEFORE TAXIING ONTO TXWY F, OR A PROGRESSIVE TAXI AT THE UNFAMILIAR ARPT.
