Narrative:

Third stage turbine (low) needed a rechk, had a couple loose blades -- 3 less than 5 pounds torque. Work release called out wrong work card for job. Mechanic pulled up wrong work card for aircraft. DC9 and MD80 look very similar. DC9 has no identify as to what type aircraft it is to be used on. That was the card used for this job. Technique used to check looseness of blades is the same on both cards. A records clerk found that wrong job card had been used but the intent of the inspection was accomplished. A couple blades were found to be loose. The engine was changed as a result.
