Narrative:

Aircraft X, a C172 no primary or secondary target. Adjacent facility (gso) tried to handoff aircraft. Position of aircraft should have been clt 080 degree radial 45 DME. Aircraft was accepted non radar and later reidented at clt 075 degree radial at 30 DME aircraft was level at 6000 ft. Supplemental information from acn 474294: aircraft Y, a PA28, was northbound at clt 092 degree radial at 5000 ft descending to 4000 ft. No primary or secondary target on this aircraft for 10 mi. Callback conversation with reporter acn 474295 revealed the following information: reporter believes most of the problem is location of radar site. He was not sure what is being done to fix the problem and does not think the supervisor logs the incidents. Stated the radar coverage problem has existed at least 4 yrs.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 474294: ACFT Y, A PA28, WAS NBOUND AT CLT 092 DEG RADIAL AT 5000 FT DSNDING TO 4000 FT. NO PRIMARY OR SECONDARY TARGET ON THIS ACFT FOR 10 MI. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR ACN 474295 REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR BELIEVES MOST OF THE PROB IS LOCATION OF RADAR SITE. HE WAS NOT SURE WHAT IS BEING DONE TO FIX THE PROB AND DOES NOT THINK THE SUPVR LOGS THE INCIDENTS. STATED THE RADAR COVERAGE PROB HAS EXISTED AT LEAST 4 YRS.
