Narrative:

Passenger was passed out in seat with pants undone and shirt off. I tried to wake the passenger and with difficulty woke him and said put your shirt on. Passenger had 10+ wine and liquor bottles under his feet and said he didn't know where his shirt was. Passenger in aisle seat had seen him go into forward lavatory, heard a lot of noise and after a long period of time, saw man come out of lavatory without his shirt on. I went into the lavatory. Water was covering the floor. Toilet paper everywhere. The commode was full of paper and water and the sink was same. The cabinet containing paper towels had been torn off the wall. The plastic door pulled off and twisted in half, the tissue holder also was torn off and bent in half. I called the captain. The captain said 'have one of the male flight attendants give him one of their shirts or cashmere sweater and tell him to go back to sleep. When I called again and said the bathroom was totaled, captain X sent the first officer back to look. The first officer opened the lavatory door and said 'this guy's going to jail.' I asked the man if he had taken medication, he said 'yes, ambien and wine.' I told the captain. The captain had medical examiners meet flight, an agent and local police. The medical examiner checked the passenger and then the man and his seat partner walked off the aircraft. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that both the man and his seat mate were taking the drug 'ambien' and drinking wine and other liquors. They were both incoherent. A woman sitting in the aisle seat across from the lavatory noticed all the commotion in the lavatory and noticed water seeping out the door. The man had stuffed his 'missing' shirt down the toilet. When he sobered up a bit later, he didn't remember anything about his destroying the lavatory. The reporter was incensed by the captain's first remark about the shirt and thought it was tasteless and showed no respect for what they had been through. By the time they landed in buenos aires, the man had somewhat sobered up. The medical examiner and police took the man up to first class to interrogate him while the rest of the passenger deplaned. The reporter was upset that the only medical test they gave him was to listen to his heart, and do the 'nose touching' dui test, all to determine that he could walk off the plane. The cabin crew was very upset that their company's supervisors escorted the man off the plane and thanked him for flying their airline.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT RPT, MD11, MIA-EZE. PAX INTOXICATED WITH DRUGS AND WINE. DESTROYED LAVATORY, STUFFED SHIRT DOWN TOILET, TORE OFF FIXTURES. POLICE, MEDICAL EXAMINER MET FLT.

Narrative: PAX WAS PASSED OUT IN SEAT WITH PANTS UNDONE AND SHIRT OFF. I TRIED TO WAKE THE PAX AND WITH DIFFICULTY WOKE HIM AND SAID PUT YOUR SHIRT ON. PAX HAD 10+ WINE AND LIQUOR BOTTLES UNDER HIS FEET AND SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE HIS SHIRT WAS. PAX IN AISLE SEAT HAD SEEN HIM GO INTO FORWARD LAVATORY, HEARD A LOT OF NOISE AND AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, SAW MAN COME OUT OF LAVATORY WITHOUT HIS SHIRT ON. I CALLED THE CAPT. THE CAPT SAID 'HAVE ONE OF THE MALE FLT ATTENDANTS GIVE HIM ONE OF THEIR SHIRTS OR CASHMERE SWEATER AND TELL HIM TO GO BACK TO SLEEP. WHEN I CALLED AGAIN AND SAID THE BATHROOM WAS TOTALED, CAPT X SENT THE FO BACK TO LOOK. THE FO OPENED THE LAVATORY DOOR AND SAID 'THIS GUY'S GOING TO JAIL.' I ASKED THE MAN IF HE HAD TAKEN MEDICATION, HE SAID 'YES, AMBIEN AND WINE.' I TOLD THE CAPT. THE CAPT HAD MEDICAL EXAMINERS MEET FLT, AN AGENT AND LCL POLICE. THE MEDICAL EXAMINER CHKED THE PAX AND THEN THE MAN AND HIS SEAT PARTNER WALKED OFF THE ACFT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT BOTH THE MAN AND HIS SEAT MATE WERE TAKING THE DRUG 'AMBIEN' AND DRINKING WINE AND OTHER LIQUORS. THE RPTR WAS INCENSED BY THE CAPT'S FIRST REMARK ABOUT THE SHIRT AND THOUGHT IT WAS TASTELESS AND SHOWED NO RESPECT FOR WHAT THEY HAD BEEN THROUGH. BY THE TIME THEY LANDED IN BUENOS AIRES, THE MAN HAD SOMEWHAT SOBERED UP. THE MEDICAL EXAMINER AND POLICE TOOK THE MAN UP TO FIRST CLASS TO INTERROGATE HIM WHILE THE REST OF THE PAX DEPLANED. THE RPTR WAS UPSET THAT THE ONLY MEDICAL TEST THEY GAVE HIM WAS TO LISTEN TO HIS HEART, AND DO THE 'NOSE TOUCHING' DUI TEST, ALL TO DETERMINE THAT HE COULD WALK OFF THE PLANE. THE CABIN CREW WAS VERY UPSET THAT THEIR COMPANY'S SUPVRS ESCORTED THE MAN OFF THE PLANE AND THANKED HIM FOR FLYING THEIR AIRLINE.
