Narrative:

I was flying a piper arrow. The flight originated at cma at XY30 pm. A preflight was conducted and no discrepancies were found. I departed cma en route to sba. While en route I received ATIS and contacted sba approach. I then set in my squawk code. I then called approach. They said your radio is weak. I tried another radio. The lights started getting dimmer. I then turned off all extra electrical equipment and recycled alternator and checked all circuit breakers. I checked the ammeter output, nothing was indicated, turned off alternator and called approach and said my radios are getting weak. They said go to tower and we will let them know of your situation you're cleared to land. I switched to tower my radio was still weak. I went through the landing checklist, selected gear down. I saw no lights in the cockpit. I then performed emergency gear down checklist. I called tower, my radio was too weak to transmit. All lights were out and I was unable to communicate with the tower when I landed.
