Narrative:

Airliner was landing on parallel runway 19R. Wake turbulence drifted eastward to runway 19L and, accompanied by wind gust, caused me to suddenly drift to left edge of runway where I struck runway light. I recovered and went around and landed without incident. I did not realize that I had struck the light until told about it later. I saw the bent tips on the propeller after landing. No one said anything at the time. I left the airport to catch a flight to elp and instructed a friend of mine to take the propeller off to be repaired. It was only when airport personnel came up to him and said we had hit a runway light that we realized we had hit the light and not the ground.

Title: A GA PVT PLT'S ACFT IS BLOWN OFF RWY 19L BY AN AIRLINER'S WAKE ENCOUNTER WHO WAS ROLLING OUT ON RWY 19R AND STRIKES A RWY LIGHT BEFORE MAKING A GAR AT SNA, CA.

Narrative: AIRLINER WAS LNDG ON PARALLEL RWY 19R. WAKE TURB DRIFTED EASTWARD TO RWY 19L AND, ACCOMPANIED BY WIND GUST, CAUSED ME TO SUDDENLY DRIFT TO L EDGE OF RWY WHERE I STRUCK RWY LIGHT. I RECOVERED AND WENT AROUND AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. I DID NOT REALIZE THAT I HAD STRUCK THE LIGHT UNTIL TOLD ABOUT IT LATER. I SAW THE BENT TIPS ON THE PROP AFTER LNDG. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING AT THE TIME. I LEFT THE ARPT TO CATCH A FLT TO ELP AND INSTRUCTED A FRIEND OF MINE TO TAKE THE PROP OFF TO BE REPAIRED. IT WAS ONLY WHEN ARPT PERSONNEL CAME UP TO HIM AND SAID WE HAD HIT A RWY LIGHT THAT WE REALIZED WE HAD HIT THE LIGHT AND NOT THE GND.
