I returned to work at air carrier on oct/tue/99 and was scheduled to be in training until my qualifications were updated. I had been off work for 2 yrs because of a injury on the job. I spent 3 weeks in training department under the impression that I was requalified as a crew chief to perform all the functions related to the job.
