Narrative:
I was distracted flying the aircraft deviating around thunderstorm cells. Heard a clearance by ATC. First officer read back an altitude change and we began descending. ATC queried us and we corrected for altitude. No further incident occurred. WX was a factor. It had been a long day. The first officer was low time. Both pilots were a little tired. Supplemental information from acn 466011: apparently it was for another carrier that had a similar sounding flight number.

Narrative: I WAS DISTRACTED FLYING THE ACFT DEVIATING AROUND TSTM CELLS. HEARD A CLRNC BY ATC. FO READ BACK AN ALT CHANGE AND WE BEGAN DSNDING. ATC QUERIED US AND WE CORRECTED FOR ALT. NO FURTHER INCIDENT OCCURRED. WX WAS A FACTOR. IT HAD BEEN A LONG DAY. THE FO WAS LOW TIME. BOTH PLTS WERE A LITTLE TIRED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 466011: APPARENTLY IT WAS FOR ANOTHER CARRIER THAT HAD A SIMILAR SOUNDING FLT NUMBER.
