Narrative:

En route, ATC failed to advise of opposite direction traffic at FL250. When contact was made visually, less than 1/2 mi separation, I advised center we had traffic. Controller responded as though nothing had happened. Passenger on our aircraft commented on proximity of traffic to us.

Narrative: ENRTE, ATC FAILED TO ADVISE OF OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC AT FL250. WHEN CONTACT WAS MADE VISUALLY, LESS THAN 1/2 MI SEPARATION, I ADVISED CTR WE HAD TFC. CTLR RESPONDED AS THOUGH NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. PAX ON OUR ACFT COMMENTED ON PROX OF TFC TO US.
