Narrative:

On the morning of my student's first solo cross country, we discussed his flight planning, WX and route. We specifically discussed the requirements for a student pilot to enter class B airspace. He was aware he needed an endorsement to enter the airspace and was instructed and intended to remain clear of class B airspace. When he returned he told of the situation and what happened. He told me when he was en route from tix to ded he contacted daytona approach for VFR flight following. He said they told him to contact orl approach, upon which the controller cleared him to enter class B. He informed her he did not have the proper endorsements and that he was a student pilot. He also informed her that his instructor had told him he needed the proper endorsements to enter. He told me he asked her if he could descend below the airspace to remain clear of class B. She told him to stay at 2000 ft or 2500 ft (he cannot remember which). Supplemental information from acn 464130: I kept going to deland while being provided a normal VFR flight following until the service was terminated about 7-8 NM from deland. I think I flew about 3 mins through class B airspace with no endorsement allowing me to do this. But, since I had been cleared to go through it even after having stated that I was a student pilot, I flew through it for a distance of about 4 NM. On my flight back from deland to titusville, I flew more north of my intended path to remain completely clear of class B airspace, still under VFR flight following provided by orl approach.
