Narrative:
During a transition from 1b9 to a point 5.5 mi east of bedford, ma,. The route I fly is a 8.5 - 9 mi arc around the TCA. I have used this route to transition for a few years. There are good visual chkpoints and I was using a GPS. I believe either my encoder gave false signals or boston was just plain wrong.
