Narrative:

Tower cleared us for takeoff on runway 21C (detroit metropolitan) 200 degree heading. Switched to departure control who cleared us to 13000 ft and to maintain 250 KTS. Departure switches us to ZOB. Passing approximately 10000 ft and told us to advise ZOB of our airspeed restr. We check-on with ZOB advising them of altitude/airspeed/heading assigned. He clears us to 16000 ft, normal speed, direct vwv VOR. We acknowledge the clearance and ZOB repeated back 'normal speed.' we subsequently were cleared to FL180, FL200, FL230. ZOB switched us to new center frequency. At time of check-on with new frequency, we had just passed vwv VOR en route to ape VOR. New controller asked why we were turning toward ape. We advised him of our prior clearance. He issued a right turn heading 150 degrees and queried us about the prior controller's routing. He assumed we were still on an assigned heading and not cleared to vwv, etc. After approximately 3 mins, he clears us to ape and again is irritated about the routing we received from prior controller. He acted as if we just arbitrarily decided to proceed to vwv without center authority/authorized. He states 'he will pull the tapes.' we are subsequently switched to another frequency and it's operations normal to orlando. We did not approve of his demeanor nor his snide comments concerning the tapes. Both the copilot and jump seater distinctly heard all ATC directives. Very unprofessional on ZOB's end.

Title: B757 CREW WAS QUESTIONED BY CTLR ABOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF ON RWY 21C (DETROIT METRO) 200 DEG HDG. SWITCHED TO DEP CTL WHO CLRED US TO 13000 FT AND TO MAINTAIN 250 KTS. DEP SWITCHES US TO ZOB. PASSING APPROX 10000 FT AND TOLD US TO ADVISE ZOB OF OUR AIRSPD RESTR. WE CHK-ON WITH ZOB ADVISING THEM OF ALT/AIRSPD/HEADING ASSIGNED. HE CLRS US TO 16000 FT, NORMAL SPD, DIRECT VWV VOR. WE ACKNOWLEDGE THE CLRNC AND ZOB REPEATED BACK 'NORMAL SPD.' WE SUBSEQUENTLY WERE CLRED TO FL180, FL200, FL230. ZOB SWITCHED US TO NEW CTR FREQ. AT TIME OF CHK-ON WITH NEW FREQ, WE HAD JUST PASSED VWV VOR ENRTE TO APE VOR. NEW CTLR ASKED WHY WE WERE TURNING TOWARD APE. WE ADVISED HIM OF OUR PRIOR CLRNC. HE ISSUED A R TURN HEADING 150 DEGS AND QUERIED US ABOUT THE PRIOR CTLR'S ROUTING. HE ASSUMED WE WERE STILL ON AN ASSIGNED HEADING AND NOT CLRED TO VWV, ETC. AFTER APPROX 3 MINS, HE CLRS US TO APE AND AGAIN IS IRRITATED ABOUT THE ROUTING WE RECEIVED FROM PRIOR CTLR. HE ACTED AS IF WE JUST ARBITRARILY DECIDED TO PROCEED TO VWV WITHOUT CTR AUTH. HE STATES 'HE WILL PULL THE TAPES.' WE ARE SUBSEQUENTLY SWITCHED TO ANOTHER FREQ AND IT'S OPS NORMAL TO ORLANDO. WE DID NOT APPROVE OF HIS DEMEANOR NOR HIS SNIDE COMMENTS CONCERNING THE TAPES. BOTH THE COPLT AND JUMP SEATER DISTINCTLY HEARD ALL ATC DIRECTIVES. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ON ZOB'S END.
