Narrative:

Previous controller had cleared us direct to MLS 182 degree radial/45 NM then sent us over to center frequency 127.75 and we checked in at FL330 going direct to above fix. About 2-3 mins later control called to confirm we were on 030 degree heading. We said no that we had been cleared direct MLS 182 degree radial/45 NM. He said to then turn left to 030 degrees immediately which we did. A few mins later we were again cleared to direct MLS 182 degree radial/45 NM. No other comments were made. We feel that the previous controller either had not informed the new controller or the new controller missed or forgot clearance.
